A complete print and digital textbook from Northrose Educational Resources — walking beginners from their very first transaction all the way through a finished set of financial reports.
If you’ve worked through the app or the Academy course, you already know Bubba’s Bicycle Services, the nine-step cycle, and Mr. Simplero’s plain-language explanations. This textbook is that same approach, built out into a complete introductory course — from your very first journal entry all the way through inventory, special journals, receivables, long-term assets, and sales tax.
Written for complete beginners — no prior bookkeeping knowledge assumed.
A friendly, plain-language guide who shows up throughout the book to break down every hard idea into something that sticks — the same “no jargon” approach you’ve seen in the app’s own tips.
“Everything has two sides — night and day, heads and tails, debit and credit.”
Chapters 1–5 mirror the Academy flagship course; 6–13 build on that same foundation through inventory, special journals, internal controls, receivables, long-term assets, and sales tax.
